WELCOME TO ThOMP arts!

ThOMP arts is a creativity-oriented business started by Ceramic Sculptor and Art Therapist, Lucy Grantz, MA. ThOMP arts consists of both Lucy’s ceramic artwork and her group and individual creativity instruction.

What does “ThOMP” mean? you may wonder... I was searching for a name that would satisfy both the art-making and the teaching aspects of my business. One morning it came to me: Theory of Mud Pies, or "ThOMP" for short.

Mud pies represent that quality of freedom and flow that we had as children: that sense of timelessness that I recall when spending hours in the back yard making things out of mud.

In my classes, I teach adults that they can learn to re-integrate this creative fluidity into their current lives, giving them a more stress free existence, better problem solving abilities, and happier relationships.

Additionally, since I am a clay artist, the mud association is perfect!
